On October 5th, from 5:00 p.m., the fifth annual sports and cultural event will be held in the hall of the Belvedere Hotel, organized by the Knightly Order of the Eagle of Georgia, Czech Chapter, and Jakub Zeman KEG. The event, based on the traditions of ancient knightly tournaments and martial arts competitions, is held under the honorary patronage of the head of the family, HRH David Bagration, pretender to the Georgian throne, who has already visited the event in the past and plans to visit this year as well. The traditional partner of the event is the Red Cross, which organizes a voluntary charity collection pro bono at the event. The Bagration Cup is a fencing tournament, complete with demonstrations of Eastern and Western martial arts. In previous years, the best masters operating in our territory could be seen, for example karate performed by world champion V. Budín, taichi performed by world vice-champion M. Slabá, knife throwing performed by five-time world champion A. Čeladín or archery, masterfully demonstrated by a paralympian and multiple medalist David Drahonínský. The art of the Japanese sword was demonstrated by adepts of the co-hosting dojo Hakuzan (Happó ryu) and Kasumi (Toyama ryu), from European martial arts Renaissance fencing (Petr Thurya), baroque cord fencing according to master Angello, saber according to master Barbasetti or bayonet shone. The competition itself takes place in the disciplines of cutting sabers and free fencing with softened sabers according to the Czech saber discipline. The event is closed to the public.
