HAN DAO - functional sharpened sabre

Han Dao is a high quality, sharp sword with a blade made of AISI 1075 steel. The 57,5 cm long blade is sharpened and has a blood groove. The handle with a metal decorated guard is made of wood with a leather wrap ending with a head or pear with ornament. The sabre is supplied in a wooden sheath with a leather sheath and a metal ending with a monkey-shaped decoration. The Chinese sword is packed in a wooden box with lining together with a blade maintenance kit. Han Dao is an ideal gift, it can become a collector's piece or decoration, but at the same time it is a successful and fully functional replica of a combat sword.

For the steel sword edge we recommend the use of diamond and water grinding stones. If you are not 100% confident in your skills and abilities, please contact us. We will sharpen your knives individually according to your wishes. We also regularly organize knife sharpening courses. Alternatively, look for a professional grinder in your area. Damage that could result from unprofessional grinding is irreversible.

Cleaning the sword:

Particles attached to the blade surface from aggressive substances can begin to corrode and form rust-like scratches on the surface. However, it's not the sword's edge that rusts, it's the attached particles. For example, baking soda is commonly used for removal, which when soaked forms a "slurry" and an old cork.
