    Axe Dellinger Valhalla Manad

    Hand forged so-called "bearded axe" made of Damascene steel with a design that was used as early as the 6th century AD. The qualities of this shape have been proven many times during combat. This axe is often associated with Vikings and Scandinavian warriors, the beard or "hook" of the axe being useful in pulling weapons from an opponent's hand or in pulling down an enemy's protective shield. The cutting edge of the bearded axe is extended to the rear, providing a longer cutting surface. The user can also grip the handle directly behind the head for greater control and close combat. 352 layers of damascus carbon steel give this bearded axe a unique and inimitable look. The drawing created on the surface of the blade is unique and stands out due to the depth of the profile of the individual layers. Toughness and wear resistance are a given. Damascus carbon steel is not stainless and therefore shows some sensitivity to oxidation. Regular maintenance, including oiling and keeping dry, can help minimize the risk of corrosion. The hardness range is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. Each individual layer has a different hardness according to the type of steel. The leather sheath makes it easy to carry the axe on your next outdoor trip or Viking raid. Handle (handle) made of rosewood (SISSO Wood) with leather braid adds a luxurious and original look. Damage that could result from unprofessional grinding is irreversible.

    Cleaning the axe:

    Particles attached to the blade surface from aggressive substances can begin to corrode and form rust-like scratches on the surface of the blade.
