Japanese axe Danro Burned

The Danro Burned Axe is a versatile tool for the outdoors. You can use it to set up a camp, cut down a few small trees or chop wood for kindling.

The axe head is handmade. The carbon SC steel core is lined with iron. This creates a so-called sandwich - two softer steels with a hard cutting core. The top is "Kantou-Kashi", which is a high quality Japanese oak wood. The handle is tanned to increase its strength. The axe comes with a nice leather sheath that has a belt loop and O-ring for hanging.

The axes are handmade by Kanetsune - Kitasho Co., Ltd. in Seki, Japan. This company is one of the most reputable manufacturers and was founded in 1964. They are made of carbon steel, are easier to sharpen and last longer, but need more care. After each use, the head should be cleaned, dried and then a small layer of vegetable oil (for example, camellia oil) should be applied and placed in the case.

Damage that could result from unprofessional grinding is irreversible.
