The blade of the hand forged wakizashi is made of AISI 1075 Hi-carbon steel, hand polished in the final stage with a hazuya stone - thus achieving an almost razor-sharp edge and a mirror-like shine. The blade of the wakizashi is partially clouded, real hamon Choji. The full tang construction of this blade greatly increases the power of the sword. The AISI 1075 overmolded steel has a hardness in the HRC 52 range. Attractive and sharp blade, shiny saya covered with polished stingray leather plus tsuka (handle) which is covered with genuine stingray leather, all this makes this wakizashi very interesting and desirable, it is stored in a canvas bag and paper box. This Japanese wakizashi sword can be combined into a set with shikai katana (K-729). Company Dellinger disclaims all liability for injury and damage resulting from use. The tip of the blade is shaped shinogi-zukuri and chu kissaki with real Diamond-Shaped Yokote.

The blade has a sori (blade curvature) designed for the cleanest and finest cuts. Combined with the impressive hardness of the steel and the full tang construction of the katana, it is possible to easily cut through tatami, straw mats or bamboo for tameshigiri.

  • Blade material - folded AISI 1075 Carbon Steel
  • Saya: (shell - cover) made of hardwood covered with polished stingray skin. High-quality black silk Sage-O braid is tied around the Kurigata (button) of the Sayi (sheath-cloak). Koiguchi, kojiri and kurigata are made of genuine black buffalo horn
  • Tsuba: (guard) cast brass with reed pattern
  • Tsuka: (handle) wooden core wrapped with genuine stingray (Samegawa) leather with black braid - Ito. The wakizashi blade is secured with two mekugi (bamboo pins). You can remove the blade from the handle by pulling out these pins. On each side of the Tsuka (handle) there is a menuki (ornament under the braid). Handle ending (Kashira) and fuchi decorated with reed pattern.
