Product detailed description

wakizashi SUPURASSHU made of overlaid (damascus) steel AISI 1095 & AISI 1060 with real Choji hamon

Hand forged wakizashi SUPURASSHU with real hamon. The blade made of AISI 1095 steel in combination with AISI 1060 steel, a sharp sword suitable for sectional tests, the classic black design with white wrapping gives a calm and balanced impression, everything is subordinated to purpose, no ostentation and yet balanced dignity that will be appreciated by both the connoisseur and the casual observer. Wakizashi comes in a colourful canvas bag, can be unfolded.

Hand forged blade made of AISI 1095 steel of the highest quality. The steel was laminated in a layered configuration (damascus) - differentially hardened . Carbon steel AISI 1095 (0.95% carbon and 0.4% manganese) is very strong and holds its sharpness very well. The production of this blade goes through 14 processes up to hand sharpening - the surface of the blade is like a mirror. The blade was polished with hazuya stone in the final stage - this achieves an almost razor sharp edge.

The real Choji hamon is created according to ancient traditional methods based on many years of experience of master blacksmiths. This process produces a beautiful hamon of Snake andMartensite (grain) on the blade. This is a top quality replica of a samurai sword that is suitable for sake trials and can be disassembled. This blade has been tried and tested to remove everything in its path ! Sori (blade curvature) allows cutting to be carried out in such a way as to achieve the finest and cleanest possible cuts. All this combined with the choice of a traditional Koshirae ensures that you get the best in terms of appearance and functionality. MoNCOMPOSITIVE aISI 1095 carbon steel has impressive hardness in the HRC range - the perfect combination of this hardness is emphasised by the curvature of the Sori blade, which makes it easy to cut through tatami, straw mats or bamboo for tameshigiri. The full tang construction of this katana ingreatly increases the sword's power. The tip of the blade is shaped shinogi-zukuri and shubo zukuri kissaki (pointed tip), which is very well defined by the hamon running the full length through the boshi.

This is a highly crafted and fully functional replica of a samurai sword.

This wakizashi is suitable for practical use in martial arts. These are traditional seku trials, in which they cut into special Makiwara mats. Full-tang - noepel, wakizashi goes all the way to the handle (Tsuka) and is secured by two mekugi (pins). This wakizashi (samurai sword) is suitable for practical use, but Dellinger disclaims any liability for injury or damage resulting from use. Keep out of reach of children ! Any tampering with the samurai sword is your own responsibility. Remember, you have a deadly weapon in your hands!

Tsuka: (handle) wooden core wrapped with genuine stingray (Samegawa) skin with white braid - Ito . The blade of the katana is secured by a single mekugi pin. You can remove the blade from the handle by pulling out this pin. There is a menuki (ornament) on each side of the Tsuka.

Saya: (shell - cover) made of hardwood, its surface is black glossy. The high quality Sage-O silk braid is tied around the Kurigata (button) of the jacket.
Koiguchi + kojir is made of real black buffalo horn.

samurai sword warranty - examples of misuse

In general, these are all activities except for traditional chopping test techniques, which involve chopping into special mats.

Cutting branches, trees and bushes: for this activity people have developed other tools such as axes or machetes

Chopping or swordplay with another sword: destructive damage to the blade of a samurai sword occurs - samurai avoided any direct contact with the enemy to avoid damaging the blade. The repair was long and expensive

Never wear a sharp samurai sword with the blade exposed in public: Always keep the sword sheathed in the Saya (scabbard). In Germany and other EU countries, this is even an obligation prescribed by gun law

Never insert a dirty blade into the Saya: If you are performing chop tests on fruit, clean and preserve the blade immediately after chopping, otherwise the blade will rust and oxidize

Never leave the sword lying in a damp place such as a porch, shed, cellar or conservatory: This traditional weapon definitely does not deserve such treatment. Always clean the blade after use, brush with oil and store the sword in a dry place.
